The DIY SOS team, local tradespeople and local suppliers changed the lives of the McCreight family in Bangor
Pictured right: Billy Byrne (DIY SOS), Stephen Laverty and Ryan Watson (both valued CEW customers) from the DIY SOS: The Big Build – Bangor, NI called into our Dunmurry branch last month to thank us for our generous donations towards this amazing project. In total CEW donated £1800 +VAT worth of products to Northern Ireland’s first ever SOS: The Big Build.
Billy, Stephen and Ryan worked closely with our Lisburn branch manager, David, who in turn liaised with a number of our key suppliers to make sure everything was in place, getting this typical five-month Bangor renovation across the line in just nine days.
We were lucky enough to visit Bangor last Thursday morning for the unveiling of the newly renovated McCreight family home. Mandy McCreight (pictured below) greeted us with a thousand thanks for the minor role we played in making her family home more suitable towards her disability. During an interview with the BBC Mandy thanked everyone involved in the renovation, telling Nick Knowles “everyone involved has helped bring our family back together” as she can now move more freely through her home.
We would like to say a massive thank you to the DIY SOS team, the tradespeople and fellow suppliers for making this all possible for the County Down family. An unbelievable achievement for everyone involved – top marks all round!
